How to wear a silk scarf.

woman with blueish scarves Okeefe Layer Scarf  (48” X 8”) – These three layered wonders are our new scarf sensation. Each scarf has two layers of very soft silk, each in a different colour, with silk organza in between, adding a layer of transparent colour as well as structure. The artistry of these scarves evokes the blooming florals of Georgia O’keefes magnificent paintings.

The scarves can be wrapped and tied in many ways, providing gorgeous embellishment to add colour and style to an outfit.

The colour range is almost endless, with new colours coming each season. Most are solid colour themes, some have contrasting colours, some include two tone “shot” silk and some have a stripe or a silver lame thread to add a wow factor.

Tips on tying and wearing Scarves

Oblong scarves look wonderful on suits, jackets, sweaters and even tee shirts. For the popular “hacking” knot:

Fold scarf in half,

Slip one hand in loop while holding ends securely with the other hand.

Place scarf behind neck, passing ends in front of neck to the hand inside the loop.

Let go of ends while pulling them through loop with the opposite hand.

Centre Knot under chin, loosely or snuggly depending on your preference.

You can simply wrap the scarf twice around the neck with the ends falling loosely in front or tied in a simple knot at the center of the neck or to one side. The trick with scarf wearing is not to fuss too much.
